Science: Chapter 1 final exam will be on Thursday 9-29 and students are preparing for it already. This past Friday they "taught" a topic to a small group of students. The research-based learning theory (See illustration) says that students remember 10% of what they read and 90% when they have to teach others. They will act as teacher many times to ensure they have learned important concepts. This week students will also complete a study guide in class and bring that home to study. They will have some extended response questions that involve writing that they can practice for at home.
